Dr. Fritzi-Titzmann's research project "Mediatized Solidarity" investigates the media practices of Indian protest movements. While on the one hand new global forms of protest are gaining popularity, there is also a constant recourse to historical repertoires and expressions of solidarity and social cohesion. The aim of the project is an analysis of media practices, strategies and related discourses for the staging of solidarity, which can be shown on the basis of various current protest movements in India.
